Liquid damage is the one repair where the clock genuinely matters. The damage is not done by the liquid sitting there; it is done by electricity flowing through it and by the corrosion that continues long after the surface looks dry. A laptop that reaches us within a few hours has a very good chance of full recovery. The same laptop after a week of 'drying in rice' and two attempts to switch it on frequently does not.
So the most useful thing on this page is not a description of our service. It is this: power the machine off immediately by holding the power button, unplug the charger, remove the battery if it is removable, turn the laptop upside down like a tent, and call us. Do not switch it on to check whether it still works. That single action is what turns a cleanable spill into a dead motherboard, and we see it constantly.
The technical detail, if you want it
What actually happens inside is worth understanding. Liquid bridges circuits that were never meant to connect. If the board is powered, current flows through those bridges and burns out components — usually the smallest and cheapest ones first, but sometimes the charging IC or a power rail MOSFET. That is the immediate damage and it happens in seconds.
The second, slower damage is electrochemical. Water carrying dissolved minerals, sugar or salt acts as an electrolyte, and where there is any residual voltage it drives corrosion of the copper traces and solder joints. This continues for days or weeks after the visible moisture has gone. It is why a laptop can appear to survive a spill, work fine for two weeks, and then die — the corrosion had been quietly eating through a trace the whole time.
The liquid type matters enormously. Clean water is the best case. Tea and coffee leave sugars and acids that keep attracting moisture and continue corroding. Juice and soft drinks are worse because of sugar content and acidity. Salt water is the most destructive of all, which is why spills in the coastal pockets are treated as urgent even when the machine still switches on.
Our process is ultrasonic cleaning in a specialist solution that lifts residue from underneath components where no brush can reach, followed by full drying, corrosion neutralising, inspection under the microscope for damaged traces and pads, component replacement where needed, and conformal coating to protect what was cleaned. How we carry out this repair

Step 01
Emergency intake — call first

Complete disassembly
The machine is stripped fully to the bare board. Battery isolated first, then every module removed so nothing traps residue.

Ultrasonic cleaning
The board is ultrasonically cleaned in a specialist solution that lifts residue from beneath components — the one place a brush can never reach and where corrosion always starts.

Corrosion neutralising and drying
Residue chemically neutralised so it cannot continue eating traces, then controlled drying to remove all moisture from under the shields and sockets.

Microscope damage survey
Every affected area examined under magnification for lifted pads, severed traces, corroded vias and damaged components. Photographs are shared with you.

Honest recovery assessment

Component-level repair
Damaged components replaced, corroded pads rebuilt, severed traces jumpered under the microscope where the layout allows.

Advice from our bench
Some of this reduces the amount of work we get. We would still rather you knew it.
Power off immediately by holding the power button for five seconds. Do not shut down normally — speed matters more than tidiness.
Never switch it on "just to check". This is the single most damaging thing people do after a spill.
Do not put it in rice. Rice does not draw moisture out of a sealed chassis and it introduces starch and dust into the vents.
Turn it upside down like a tent so liquid drains away from the board rather than pooling on it.
Get it to a workshop the same day. Corrosion continues silently long after the surface is dry.
Sugary and salty liquids are far more destructive than clean water. Treat those as genuine emergencies.
