Common culprits we check on the bench
1. Power Jack or Charger
Often, the laptop is simply completely dead because the DC power jack is broken internally, or the adapter has failed. This is the cheapest and fastest fix.
2. Dead Battery or RAM
A shorted battery can prevent a laptop from booting even when plugged in. Faulty RAM can cause a black screen where the fan spins but nothing shows up.
3. Motherboard Short Circuit
If there was a power surge or a minor liquid spill you forgot about, an IC chip on the motherboard may have short-circuited. We fix this via chip-level soldering.
