Samsung laptops are thin, light and heavily integrated, which means most of what is inside is soldered rather than socketed. That is fine until something fails, at which point part-swapping is not an option and board-level capability becomes the difference between a repair and a write-off.
The common Samsung faults reflect the design. USB-C charging port failures are frequent because that single port carries power, data and display. Battery swelling is common on older Notebook models and produces the familiar trackpad click failure.
