How often should an ROG or TUF gaming laptop be serviced?
Annually as a minimum in this climate, and every six months with heavy use in a warm room. These machines generate serious heat, and a blocked heatsink is what eventually causes GPU thermal damage.
Can I upgrade the RAM in my ZenBook?
On many ZenBook models the memory is soldered and cannot be changed. We check your specific model and tell you before opening anything. Where RAM is fixed, an SSD upgrade is the realistic performance gain.
My VivoBook hinge has cracked the casing. Is it repairable?
Yes. We rebuild the hinge mounts with brass threaded inserts and repair or replace the affected casing. It is a common VivoBook fault and a straightforward, durable repair when done properly.
What is an ergolift hinge and does it cause problems?
It is Asus's design where the lid lifts the rear of the base for better airflow and typing angle. It works well but puts a different stress pattern on the display cable, so we check that cable on every ergolift model we service.
