Gaming PC Build, Repair & Upgrade
Custom gaming PC builds, crash and instability diagnosis, GPU thermal service and upgrade advice that puts your money where it matters.
Gaming PCs fail in specific and often misdiagnosed ways. When a system crashes during games, the graphics card gets blamed almost automatically — and in our experience it is usually not the card. An undersized or ageing power supply, unstable memory settings, or a GPU running at 90°C in a case with poor airflow account for the large majority of gaming instability we diagnose.
So we test properly rather than guessing. Power supply rails measured under real load, memory tested at its actual configured settings, GPU temperature and clock behaviour monitored through a sustained gaming session. Only then do we tell you what to spend money on, which sometimes turns out to be a ₹4,000 power supply rather than a ₹40,000 graphics card.
The technical detail, if you want it
For builds, we work from what you actually play rather than from a parts wish-list. A machine for competitive shooters at 1080p has very different priorities from one for open-world titles at 1440p, and the money should follow that.
The most common mistakes we correct in existing builds are consistent. Power supplies chosen on wattage alone without regard to rail quality or the transient spikes that modern GPUs produce. Cases with no intake airflow, so the GPU recirculates its own hot air. Memory left on an XMP profile the board cannot sustain, which produces crashes that look exactly like GPU failure. CPU coolers that are adequate on paper and inadequate in a warm Indian room in May. And storage configured so that games sit on a mechanical drive while the SSD holds nothing but Windows.
Thermals deserve emphasis in this region specifically. Ambient temperatures here are well above what most build guides assume. A cooling setup that is fine in a European review is marginal in a Virar flat in April. We size cooling for local conditions and we test under sustained load rather than for a two-minute benchmark run.
For laptops, gaming thermal service is a distinct job: full teardown, ultrasonic heatsink clean, high-grade compound, correctly specified thermal pads on the VRM and memory, and a sensible fan curve. Done annually it keeps a gaming laptop healthy; skipped, it typically ends in GPU solder fatigue.
How we carry out this repair
Every stage is documented and you see photographs of the actual fault before you approve any work.
-
Step 01
Full system audit
Every component identified and checked for compatibility, along with the actual BIOS and driver configuration — which is where a lot of instability originates.
-
Step 02
Power supply testing under load
Rail voltages measured during real gaming load, not at idle. A marginal supply looks perfect until the GPU demands current.
-
Step 03
Memory stability testing
Extended testing at the configured settings. Unstable XMP profiles cause crashes that are routinely misattributed to the graphics card.
-
Step 04
Thermal and clock monitoring
GPU and CPU temperatures, clock behaviour and throttling monitored through a sustained gaming session rather than a short benchmark.
-
Step 05
Airflow assessment
Case intake and exhaust configuration reviewed, since a GPU recirculating its own hot air cannot be fixed by cleaning alone.
-
Step 06
Findings ranked by impact
You get the measured causes and the cost to address each, so the money goes where it actually helps rather than into the most expensive part.
-
Step 07
Repair, service or build
GPU thermal service, component replacement, memory retuning or a full build with transparent parts pricing at market rates.
-
Step 08
Sustained stability testing
Multi-hour combined CPU and GPU stress testing plus real game runs before the system is signed off.
Options and prices
Where more than one approach solves your fault, we quote all of them and explain the trade-off. The cheapest option that genuinely works is always on the list.
| Option | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gaming instability diagnosis Full testing with a ranked findings report. | ₹1,500 – ₹2,500 | Full testing with a ranked findings report. |
| GPU thermal service (card) Teardown, clean, fresh compound and thermal pads. | ₹2,000 – ₹4,500 | Teardown, clean, fresh compound and thermal pads. |

Prices are indicative ranges. Your exact figure is confirmed in writing after the ₹350 bench diagnosis, and it does not change afterwards.
Advice from our bench
Some of this reduces the amount of work we get. We would still rather you knew it.
Do not assume the GPU is at fault when games crash. An undersized power supply and unstable memory settings are more common causes.
Size your power supply for transient spikes, not just average draw. Modern GPUs momentarily demand far more than their rated figure.
Case airflow matters as much as the cooler. A GPU recirculating its own hot air cannot be fixed by cleaning alone.
Service a gaming laptop annually, or every six months if it is used heavily in a warm room. Skipping it ends in GPU solder fatigue.
Install games on the SSD, not on a mechanical drive. Load times and texture streaming both depend on it.
Ambient temperatures here are well above what most build guides assume. Size cooling for a Virar flat in May, not a European review bench.

Customers who had this repair
“My PC kept crashing in games and I was about to buy a new graphics card. They tested the power supply under actual load and found it was not delivering properly during spikes. New PSU for ₹5,500 and it has been rock solid since. They could easily have sold me a card and did not.”

Gaming PC Build & Repair
“My Omen was shutting down mid-game and two shops told me the graphics card had failed. These guys measured the temperatures first, showed me the graph, and it turned out the heatsink was completely blocked. Full clean and repaste, temperatures dropped by around 20 degrees, and it has been stable for four months. They saved me from buying a card I did not need.”

Laptop Overheating & Fan Repair
“The service centre quoted me ₹16,500 for a new motherboard. I brought that quote here and they opened it under a microscope, photographed the burnt component and repaired it for ₹2,800. They also showed me why my charger was causing it. Three months on, no problems at all.”
