This policy explains what personal information Laptop Repair Virar Service Centre collects, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what happens to the data stored on devices you bring to us for repair. It applies to this website and to our workshop at Gala No 2, Daffodil Complex, Datt Mandir Rd, near PD Medical Centre, near Vaman Hari Pethe Sweets, Doghar Pada, Sheetal Nagar, Virar West.
Information we collect
When you contact us or book a repair we collect only what is needed to carry out the work: your name, mobile number, optional email address, the area you are in, the device and its fault, and your preferred collection slot. We do not collect anything else through the booking form and we do not require you to create an account.
Our website records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to understand which pages are useful. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.
Data on your device
This is the part that matters most to customers, so we set it out plainly.
- We image the storage drive before any significant work as a precaution against loss during repair. This copy is held on an isolated machine in the workshop.
- We do not browse, copy, share or upload your files. Nothing from a customer device is ever sent to any cloud service.
- Our working copy is securely wiped once you confirm you have everything back and the job is closed.
- If you prefer, you may remove the storage drive before handing the device over. We will show you how and it will not affect the repair or the price for most jobs.
- For data recovery work, we show you a file list before any payment is due and return the recovered data on your own drive.
If we discover material during a repair that we are legally obliged to report, we will comply with the law. Beyond that narrow obligation, your files are your business and not ours.
How we use your information
- To contact you about the repair — confirming collection, sending the quote, and telling you when work is complete.
- To issue your invoice and maintain the warranty record for the work carried out.
- To respond to a warranty claim, which requires us to keep the job record for the warranty period.
- To meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations.
We do not send marketing messages unless you have specifically asked for them, and we never sell, rent or share your contact details with third parties.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records that do not become jobs are deleted after twelve months. Completed job records are kept for the length of the warranty plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes, after which they are securely destroyed. Drive images taken as a repair precaution are wiped as soon as the job is closed, typically within a few days.
Security
Customer data is held on access-controlled machines in the workshop. Devices awaiting repair are stored securely and are not accessible to the public. Our website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are protected against automated abuse.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach occurred that affected your information, we would tell you promptly and directly.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function — a session cookie and a security token that protects form submissions. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Third parties
We use Google Maps to display our workshop location, which is subject to Google's own privacy terms. WhatsApp messages you send us are subject to WhatsApp's terms. Where a specialist recovery job requires an external clean-room facility, we will tell you before sending anything and you may decline.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not legally required to keep it. Contact support@xigox.com or call 7499761116 and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated directly.
