Surface devices are the hardest mainstream machines to repair, and it is only fair to say so upfront. Displays are bonded to the chassis with strong adhesive, batteries are glued in, and on older models the internal layout leaves very little room to work. Some repairs that are routine on other brands are genuinely difficult here.
That said, plenty is achievable. Battery replacement, charging port repair, screen replacement on many models and board-level work are all things we do. What we will not do is take on a job we do not believe we can complete safely and then hand you back a damaged device. If a repair on your specific Surface model carries meaningful risk, we tell you before you commit, and sometimes our advice is that Microsoft's own replacement programme is the better route.
Newer Surface models are considerably more repairable than the earlier generations, with replaceable SSDs and better serviceability, which has genuinely improved the picture.
